Sensitive delicacy - protecting tomatoes made easy
Fresh tomatoes are an indispensable ingredient of the summer kitchen. Unfortunately, it is not easy at all ensuring a rich, healthy harvest! Because tomatoes are sensitive plants with many demands. They need plenty of light, but not unrestricted sunlight, and regular watering, but never waterlogging. And least of all they like the cold!
This is where the super practical Windhager tomato tube comes into play: simply unpack it, place it over the plant and the precious fruits are protected in no time. A suitable climate for growth develops under the hood, well protected but optimally ventilated thanks to the small holes in the film.
Sustainable for a good climate!
The film is partially made of PLA, i.e. based on renewable raw materials, and thus preserves the resources available to us. In addition, it can be composted in a green composting plant. Despite this composting ability, the films are stable enough to withstand wind and weather for a gardening season.
Usage:
Unpack the tomato tube, cut it to the desired length and place it over the tomato plant's stem or plant stick. Tie up or down at the top, done.
The hose can be rolled up and down if necessary. If the temperature is stable enough, the film can still protect the plant from rain, because tomatoes don't like it either.
Warning: at temperatures below the freezing point, caution is required - this film is not a long-term frost protection.
