Smart nest predator protection for bird nesting boxes
Well-placed nesting boxes provide domestic birds with a safe place to breed. A well thought-out protection frame protects the eggs and fledglings. The sturdy metal frame (approx. 7 x 7 cm) is attached to the box in front of the entrance hole by means of four screws; it can also be retrofitted to nesting boxes that are already set up but uninhabited. Thanks to its tapering shape nest predators such as cats, martens or larger birds can no longer reach the fledglings. This nest predator protection is suitable for all Windhager bird nesting boxes.
Tip: It is recommended to set the nest predator protection up outside of breeding season to make sure you don’t disturb the birds during breeding.
