Good protection can also be sustainable. Environmentally conscious gardeners no longer have to do without sheeting and fleeces. To control weeds, protect sensitive plants from frost or protect tomatoes from rain and pests, whether directly on the ground or in raised beds: you (almost) can't do without them in the garden.
